Car restorations, body repair, and the auto painting process is simple.

Repair Process

Repair/Restoration Assessment and Free Estimate

If your classic car has been in a collision, or your vehicle has damage you will first need to bring in your vehicle.  We know many people like to email us or text pictures and request estimates but this is not the best way, because we might quote too high or too low.  Your classic car needs to be seen by our technician in person, in order to evaluate the work and labor needed to breath new life to your classic.  Once we accurately assess the damage we can give you a realistic estimate.

Classic Car Body Repair

After we assess the entire damage on your vehicle, we begin the auto body repair process. In this stage, we remove all your car’s parts which require repair or replacement. We will also work on repairing your auto’s body and structure.  On a classic car this step is very important because it requires a lot of time and skill to get the body curves and lines straight.

Classic Car Painting and Polish

Once we complete the body work, your vehicle will start the paint and polish process. Before we apply paint we find your car’s exact color match utilizing computer technology or apply the unique color you have picked.  Decals and racing stripes are added after the entire car is painted.  Your vehicle is then polished and prepared for reassembly.

Vehicle Reassembly

Your vehicle is then reassembled with exterior parts like grills, lights, doors, and other parts involved in your repair or restoration.   Usually these exterior parts are new, or chrome dipped. Once assembled, your classic car enters a final quality control check.

Clean Car and Detail

Before you can pick up your classic car we complete a wash final detail. This step gives us a last chance to find any errors and repair them.

Final Vehicle Inspection and Ready for Pick Up

Lastly, once your repair or restoration is complete, we will contact you.  When you come to our shop you can give your classic car a final inspection and finish any paperwork.

And that’s it!  For more information about collision repair or restorations click on any of the pictures below to see the entire process.  On our blog you can find plenty of examples of our work.  Let us help you repair or restore your classic car, but don’t take our word for it, just read our reviews. “Currently restoring a 72 GTO which needed some preliminary metal repair. Other shops did not want to touch it unless they did the complete car. Jaider helped me out with this and began the much needed repairs caused by years of rust damage. He was always up front with what needed to be done and was very fair with pricing. He kept me updated throughout the process and made sure the car would be repaired to a safe condition. Very pleased with the experience and passion his staff has with classic cars. If you need work done to your classic car, this is the place to bring it.”

Thank you for taking the time to read this page.

As of January 2022 we have some good news and some bad news…

The BAD NEWS is we have moved out of our location and are in search of a new home for the West Coast Body and Paint shop.

The GOOD NEWS is that we have a West Coast Body and Paint mobile paint repair service unit that will come to you!  The mobile paint unit provides auto services for minor body and paint repairs.

Our estimates are always free and you are welcome to schedule an appointment.  After we receive your images we will provide you with an initial estimate.   The estimate is a ballpark figure, and after we assess your vehicle’s damage in person, we will review the estimate with you.  If you agree to the final estimate, we will begin repairing your car.  Fill out the form below to schedule your mobile service appointment or contact us through WhatsApp.
