Fender Repair And Parts Replacements

Auto Parts Replacement Services

Exterior auto parts can be repaired after a vehicle’s frame and inner body panels have been straightened.  In many cases, damage to the outer body panels can be repaired using techniques or straightening methods.  Other times, time and money can be saved by replacing an entire damaged panel and installing a new one.

Auto Parts Panel Alignment

When your car is involved in a collision, the damage oftentimes makes it impossible to simply replace a damaged panel with a new one, that is why we align each panel we install.  Unless correctly aligned, hoods, deck lids, and doors will not close properly.  They may also leak, squeak, or rattle.  Improper fender alignment will cause an unprofessional appearance.

Auto Parts: Repair or Replacement?

The decision of whether to repair or replace is almost always determined by the savings to you, unless you or your insurance wish otherwise.  Panels can be replaced by new panels or good used panels.  In some cases, only the damaged portion of a panel is replaced.  This type of auto part repair is called sectioning.  Sectioning can save time and money.  In the end, the choice is yours, we are here to help you.

“I looked all over for a body shop that would help me fix the window rust in my 82 Vanagon Westfalia that I am restoring and all of the other shops on Oxnard refused to even give me an estimate. They all said “do it yourself, just use some bondo”.

Turns out that nobody wants to fix anything anymore, they just want to slap on new parts.
I finally found Jaider and his crew at West Coast Body and Paint and he was excited about doing the job, what a relief! These guys are artists and did an awesome job repairing the many bad spots of body cancer on my VW. I am really pleased with their work and grateful that there is still a shop out there that takes pride in what they do and helps old car enthusiasts keep their projects on the road.”
