The most safe thing to do during the pandemic in Los Angeles besides staying home is… going out for a drive.
Early on when the pandemic began, it was “easy” to stay at home. Kids attended school via zoom. I was at the shop working on a few cars at a time and followed CDC guidelines. But then the kids go on break and with restrictions still in place it’s hard to do the activities they love, like going to museums. So my wife and I came up with the next best thing, we called it “Mural Museum”. Here in Van Nuys and the Los Angeles area we are blessed to have some of the best artist in the nation and their awesome murals to enjoy from the safety of our car. Here are a few of the kids favorites and the cross streets.
Van Nuys Blvd. and Bessemer St.
Victory Blvd. and Morse Ave.
Sherman Way and Kester Ave.
Hazeltine Ave. and Ventura Blvd.
Noble and Ventura Blvd.
Do you know of any murals in the Valley or Los Angeles worth the drive and a mention? Let me know in the comments below. I hope you and your family are safe and continue to take care.
