In October of 2013 we got a client who wanted his vintage 1953 Bentley Continental Flying Spur given a little exotic car restoration love.  See how we made it happen.

Exotic Car Restoration and Repair

This exotic car restoration job needed minor auto body repair work on various parts of the car.  The Bentley was in fair shape and received several hours of repair, bondo application, sanding, lots of sanding, and finally we got the body and lines ready for the new coat of paint.  This is a special exotic car with two distinct colors, gray and black.  With the new paint the Bentley Continental looks new again.

1953 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL FLYING SPUR EXOTIC CAR RESTORATION

Whenever we work on an exotic car restoration, before anything, we do a complete inspection of the car.  On this classic Bentley we made a thorough review of the body and paint.  Noted the areas that needed work.

Before we got to work on this exotic car restoration we made sure to mark the lines on the car, since it is a two tone car.

The Bentley is then sanded down.

You’ll notice that a few of the panels needed bondo work.

After the Bentley was sanded and the body was smooth and straight where it needed to be, we cleaned it up and took it to the paint booth to get its first coat of black paint.

The Bentley was carefully masked so paint would not get on any part of the car where it shouldn’t be.  The tires, lights, grille, and top half were masked completely.

The Bentley is color sanded and prepared for the second coat of paint.

You’ll notice that we removed hood, that was painted separately.

This time we painted the roof first, a nice silver color.

After the roof was painted and dry, we masked to top half and made sure the lines were straight before the last black coat of paint.

Finally the Bentley was painted silver and black, all that was left to do was remove the tape and spray on the clear coat.

After the clear coat all that was left to do was to clean and buff the car.

“After receiving 3 repair quotes, I decided to go with Jaider and I wasn’t disappointed. He performed a thorough walkthrough of my car and provided me with a fair quote. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of his work and highly recommend WCBP!”

Ourestimates are always free and you are welcome to come by our shop anytime or make an appointment.  We know that many clients like the convenience of sending pictures of their car and request an estimate; but, in reality an estimate by this means is not really reliable.  Why?  Because the estimate will either be too high or too low.  In order to assess the damage and give an estimate, a car needs to be seen by a professional and in person.  This insures that the estimate is as accurate as possible, not too high or too low.  For more information click here.

If you are not able to come by our shop during normal working hours, you can give us a call or send us an email, and make an appointment when you can come, in most cases we are able to accommodate our clients.
